Outgrown winging it with IT?
I help owner-managed businesses get control of messy IT, tighten up Microsoft 365, backups and security, and keep everything running properly — without a call centre or a different technician every week.
Based in Colchester, supporting small businesses across North Essex and South Suffolk.

Small-business IT often grows in bits:
- A few laptops and Microsoft 365
- Permissions that no one has looked at in ages
- Devices set up differently depending on who did them
- Backups that exist but are not routinely checked
That is usually the point where IT starts wasting time, creating risk, and landing on the desk of someone who has better things to do.
How it gets sorted
I help get it back under control — sort out the messy bits, write things down properly, and keep it that way.
-
Tidy-up and review
I look at what you have now, where the gaps and risks are, and what needs sorting first.
-
Fix the obvious problems
We deal with the messy bits in Microsoft 365, backups, security, documentation, and Cyber Essentials readiness or remediation where needed.
-
Ongoing support and ownership
Once things are in order, I stay on as your outsourced IT manager so it stays secure, documented, and under control.

What I actually help with
Getting control of messy IT usually means getting the basics sorted properly and keeping them that way.
- IT Support Day-to-day help when something breaks, stops behaving, or just needs sorting properly.
- Microsoft 365 Email, Teams, shared files, user setup, permissions, tenant tidy-up, and getting things working the way they should.
- Cyber Security & Backup Sensible protection, safer accounts, backups that are checked and tested, plus practical help with Cyber Essentials.
- IT Tidy-Up Sorting out inherited mess, stale accounts, undocumented systems, and confusing setups that have built up over time.
Sensible support, clear expectations
I am a one-person business, and that is part of the point. You always know who you are dealing with, and you are not dropped into a queue and passed around.
At the same time, the setup still needs to be professional, secure and properly documented.
What that looks like
- Clear business-hours response expectations
- Direct contact with the person who knows your setup
- Backups checked and tested
- Cyber Essentials qualified
- Documentation kept up to date
- Honest about fit, scope and limits

Once things are in order
Once things are in order, I stay on as your outsourced IT manager so it stays secure, documented, and under control.
Monthly support is structured to be simple and predictable. One-off project work is quoted clearly in advance. If something falls outside normal support, I will tell you before the work starts — not afterwards.
